Within the study of issues related to women’s economic empowerment, the NGO “Association of Woman Ambassadors of Ukraine” holds regular events involving representatives of the target audience to identify the main competencies that Ukrainian women need for personal and professional adaptation under martial law. These activities include offline and online meetings, collection of primary information through anonymous surveys, and communication with specialized experts.
A pilot collection of primary data was conducted after working visits to the territorial communities of Kyiv region with the involvement of representatives of social services, territorial offices of employment centers, and women from the target audience. Based on the results of the data obtained, a mapping of the main competencies that women will develop within the framework of the activities of the NGO “Association of Women Ambassadors of Ukraine” was developed. The mapping was developed considering the educational needs of Ukrainian women, the principles of the European basics for Social Rights, and the EU Framework for Updated Key Competencies.
To finalize the study, the geography of primary information is currently being expanded to cover other regions of Ukraine. Based on the results of the identified core competencies, the relevant educational and mentoring products of the NGO “Association of Woman Ambassadors of Ukraine” will be developed to meet the needs of the target audience in obtaining and improving personal and professional knowledge and skills.
