THE IMPORTANCE OF LIFE SKILLS WAS DISCUSSED WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF THE UZYN COMMUNITY

As of May 2024, 4.6 million people in Ukraine have the status of internally displaced persons (IDPs) (according to the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine).

How IDP women and girls adapt and integrate into communities and, in general, the concept and ways to economic independence of women in Ukraine were discussed at an information meeting of the Association of Women Ambassadors of Ukraine with representatives of the community of Uzyn, Bila Tserkva district.

We discussed what life skills help women and girls to restore and improve their career status/development, find a job, and develop their own business.

The community representatives were interested in the skill of financial literacy, which is especially important for shaping the consciousness of an economically independent person. We agreed to involve adolescents and young people in the relevant online course from the Association of Women Ambassadors of Ukraine.

We invited the women of the community to join AWAU’s COMMUNITY, where they will receive support and access to open information programs aimed at increasing economic capacity and building economic independence.
